Menu Planning Monday

Last week was much calmer than the previous few weeks and as a result I was able to prepare 2 out of the 4 meals that I had planned on, the other two meals were dinner out courtesy of my parents. Last night I took stock of our freezer/fridge/pantry and was able to come up with 6 different meal ideas for the upcoming week. Those meals include

1. Slow Cooker Beef Stew
2. Italian Turkey Sausages with Peppers Onions - I will post the receipe later
3. Turkey Sloppy Joe's - My own receipe which I will post seperately
4. Cuban Chicken Salad
5. Saucy Italian Pork Chops
6. Breakfast for Dinner - Whole Wheat Waffles, Eggs, and Turkey Bacon

What will you be eating this week? Do you meal plan - why or why not?

I usually don't create an actually plan. I usually decide to make something and will eat that a few times during the week since I am cooking for one. This week on the menu is a few different variations of wraps and salads.

When I was younger my parents would plan out the week's menus. I imagine this is something I will do when I am cooking for more than one person.

I try to always plan my menus at least a week ahead of time, and sometimes up to a month ahead.

I feel so disorganized when I don't.

We tried the saucy italian chops. I improvised a little bit because I hate the hassle of bone-in chops and I realized halfway through cooking the dish that I had run out of oregano, but they still turned out really yummy! I served it with a little bit of rice. Very good. We'll be having this again.

Cuban chicken salad sounds delicious!

I kind of fly by the seat of my pants unless I'm cooking for other people. Probably if I had a family I'd plan my meals ahead a bit more!
